Letter from the Candidate

Dear Fellow Citizens of Canton, Ohio,

Each of you will be faced with the decision to vote for your City Council At-Large candidates on November 7.

I believe Canton needs to continue build on the momentum established by our new Mayor and administration. There have been many new changes with the arts district, new businesses, the Pro Football HOF and Village and new residences downtown. Your City Council needs to continue to have a strong voice in the momentum and progress Canton is currently making.

With that said, I would like to introduce myself to you. I am Patrick G Wyatt. I am married to Cathy Wyatt and have two grown children Erin and Sean. I was born in Canton and graduated from Canton Central Catholic High School. I also graduated from Malone University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management, and recently completed a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Malone. I have been employed by Nationwide Insurance for the past 33 years and currently serve as a Senior Investigator in the Special Investigation Unit/Claims. I was a part-time police officer with Jackson Township from 1983-2007. I currently retain my Ohio Peace Officer Commission with the Stark County Sheriff Office as a Special Deputy.

I am Chairman of the St. Thomas Aquinas High School & Middle School Board, a member of both the City of Canton, Ohio Health Board and Leadership Stark County. In the past I served on the Louisville Board of Zoning Appeals. I am a graduate of Leadership Stark County-Government Academy.

My wife Cathy and I own and operate Carpe Diem Coffee Shops in downtown Canton and Belden Village Mall. We reside in the Historic Onesto Lofts in downtown Canton.

Cathy and I believe in Canton and call it our home. We believe that the citizens of Canton can and will make this city one we all can be proud of, as we move forward with positive change and cooperation by those who also call Canton their home.

I am asking your support by voting for Patrick G Wyatt for one of the three At-Large seats on Canton City Council. Thank you!

Patrick G. Wyatt
